A store clerk in Tennessee has been charged with fatally shooting a 17-year-old who allegedly stole a beer from a convenience store last week.
[post_ads]Anwar Ghazali, a clerk at a shop on Springdale St. in Memphis, chased Dorian Harris after he walked away from the store with a beer Thursday night, a police report says.
Ghazali caught up to Harris and fired several shots at him. He never called the cops, according to the report.
“I think I shot him,” he reportedly told a witness.
Harris’ body was found next to Sarah Patton’s home two days later. She told WREG-TV she didn’t know about the body until authorities informed her Saturday.
“He didn't have to kill him, you know?” she told the TV station.
Ghazali was charged with first-degree murder after he admitted to the shooting.
