An alleged murderer is still on the loose in Illinois one day after a trio of inspired inmates busted out of a rural jail.
Both Zachery Shock, 24, and Johnny Tipton, 61, have eluded authorities thus far after allegedly breaking out of the White County Jail in Carmi, Ill. Saturday morning using a pipe to dig a hole in one of the jail’s concrete block and brick walls, according to ABC News.
Justin Bray, 28, was nabbed that same night hiding in an oil field tank after fleeing from cops who saw him walking along a country road, the White County Sheriff’s Department said.
Bray, who was locked up on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, aggravated fleeing and resisting or obstructing a peace officer, will face escape charges and a bail set at $1 million.
Bray’s capture reportedly came after a near-miss with police earlier in the day in which a car he was riding crashed near the Little Wabash River, allowing him to escape in the water, according to ABC.
Meanwhile, Shock, still on the lam, was in jail on charges of murder and aggravated battery. Tipton was in the big house for theft and possession of stolen property, online records show.
