A man is in custody in connection with a shooting that left several people injured in Boston.
Anthony Sheffield, 30, of Boston was arrested in connection with a shooting that broke out during a late-night party on Copeland Street in Roxbury.
Police responded to the scene just after midnight Saturday and said three people had injuries described as serious.
Police said Sheffield was taken into custody a short time later after recovering a loaded 9mm Glock handgun.
Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said Sheffield is being charged with three counts of armed assault with intent to murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, as well as being an armed, career felon.
The quadruple shooting was just one of three shootings to take place overnight Saturday in the city. About a half-hour after police responded to scene at Copeland Street, a 25-year-old was grazed by a bullet on Elder Street.
Police also responded to a man shot while inside his car outside a Burger King in Mattapan. His injuries were described as serious, but Evans said he is expected to survive.
Sheffield is expected to be arraigned Monday in Roxbury District Court.
